Ok, Capt. BigBooster let's run the numbers... Your setup in EFT tanks 533 DPS vs typical Guristas and 233 vs... anything else, and does 880 DPS at 28.3 km with CN Torps, or 647 DPS at 42.5 km with Javelins.

Tanks 633 DPS vs Guristas, and 534 minimum vs other factions. Does 880 DPS at 40.8 with CN Torps, or 647 DPS at 61.2 km with Javelin Torps. I don't have to fly around as much, refit as much, and even energy vamps wouldn't bother me much.

It's actually a hell of a lot MORE dps less. Let's use Javelins. At 150m/s it takes you more than 133 seconds to travel 20km. While you're traveling that 20km to get into range, my setup is doing 647 dps to targets at that range. Assuming enough targets, 133x647. On an average mission over the course of the mission, you do about 62800 dps less flying around (make a spreadsheet covering a month's worth of missions if you don't believe me). You can also look at it as adding 10 minutes per mission or more.

And if you get a lag spike or disconnect in the Angel Bonus room or similar and you aren't cap stable... bi bi expensive ship. :P Beyond that, your ship costs 600mil or more. Why gimp it to save a few mil on fittings? I find your lack of reason most disturbing.
